Collaborate And Listen

Sometimes it’s just best not to ask, Sonya.

Props to my Latin-savvy friend Chris for helping me with the Team D.U.D.E. motto back in the day!

    New comic?
    Excellent.

Also, if the motto is what I now think it is, awesome.
    Absolutely love it.
Can’t believe my old, rusty ass forgotten latin lessons let me down all these years.

Aah. I still don’t get the motto.

Anyhow, I’ve just read through the comic. It looks pretty cool with unusual characters and charming wit. Looking forward to more. :)

Also, do you have a 200x40px link to your comic? I’d love to add it to my links page.

(If you’re too busy right now, I can edit one together.)

The motto, “Verbum Vestrae Matri,” absolutely means what I’m sure you guys are thinking. And we have gotten to a point where I’ve been told by a teenager “I have no idea what that means” when I translated it for her. Are kids not saying that anymore?

“Word to your mother”? Nah… I’m pretty sure that phrase is dead. Might live on in certain parts of the country, but as a whole (as proved by the teenager you spoke to) it isn’t widely recognized. I’m 21, so it’s probably something recognizable to younger adults, but not current teenagers. But I guess that fits with the age of our protagonists, huh?
