Begin The Beguine, Pg. 39

I hope the fluctuating art styles and details lately aren’t driving you guys crazy! Despite these guys being just over four years old, I’m still figuring out their character designs and just how to draw the comic. I’m finally getting near where I want to be, though. Things are supposed to be a little loose and cartoony, and I’m working on things like expressions and backgrounds. I’ll settle on something one of these days! Or not, who knows. Being an artist is hard.

I can assure you I don’t know anything about the story yet, and even if I did, I have experienced what it is like to get spoilered before, and I always ensure I don’t spoiler other people at places like this.

By the way, I know that gooey hand toy thing… Had one like that many, many years ago… When I was 8 or something… I can still remember how quickly they got dirty, and when you washed them, some of the stickiness would disappear…

lollollol “Chico the Smack Dealer”. Don’t remember seeing those come out of a vending machine! I’ve missed some weird childhood moment somewhere.

I’m perfectly fine with comic artists testing their styles. And personally I enjoy seeing it as the comic progresses. It shows that you actually care about the work you’re doing, unlike uh, a lot of webcomic artists.

And I could say consistency is overrated, BUT I think I’d get in trouble haha.

@Cedarwolf22 It’s more in recent years, but both in egg vending machines and toy collectable stores I’ve seen all sorts of terrible ghetto-themed toy series! It’s really head-slappingly stupid.
